The environment is everyone’s responsibility. While we are living, playing and working everything we do effects the environment. People need to understand how their actions impact the environment and could potentially be affecting the world forever.

Brian Jones, from Fredericton, New Brunswick, is skiing to the North Pole in April 2008. This trek will test his physical and mental limits but he doesn’t want to just challenge himself – he wants to challenge us all. This journey is a great opportunity to teach people about the arctic, the environment and climate change.

Mr. Jones has partnered with Science East to raise awareness among New Brunswickers about the environment and the role we all play in it. Funds raised will be used to support Science East initiatives focused around climate change and the Arctic.

Together, Mr. Jones, Science East and our partners want to create a greener New Brunswick and a greener world. This starts with increasing awareness and adding to our knowledge and understanding about our climate.
